Ever hear words like this from a family member or friend? Maybe you heard a colleague utter these words.
* I had a rough childhood.
* The referee blew the game for us.
* We did the best we could raising our kid. I think the schools could have done more to keep him out of trouble.
* It's hard to sell right now with the economy being so soft.
They sound like innocent enough statements, but in fact there is deep meaning in these words. Not in the words themselves, but rather what it says about the people speaking them. In reading these words, perhaps you realize that even you yourself said such a thing sometime in your life. Don't worry...if you have, you are not about to be condemned to stayMAD purgatory. I too have probably let these evil words slip from my lips at one time or another.
The real issue is: Do we understand what they actually say about us?
